Search Engine Optimisation. The site has now be changed from the old session lead output to user readable URLs.
What does this mean in reality?
Previously any page you went to would bring up a string of unreadable numbers letters and other things in your browsers address bar, this has now been overcome by changing some of the configuration of the server to allow the name of each page to appear in place of the strings of code.
This means both users and Google can now find things based on the name of the page, rather than having to learn an arcane method of finding the content. This also means you can say to your friends it’s on this page and give a page name or tell them what to type in.
This will also help things be found both on our internal search and on Google.
This has been implemented on all areas of the site but where it has not been possible then it will revert to the strings of seemingly meaningless gibberish.
This isn't an error and is a deliberate feature to ensure content isn't lost.
Site map
We have added a site map which again improves our page ranking for the site but also allows users to view every section on the site in one page this again should help user navigation.
Old site mothballing
The old site has come under a steady stream of automated attacks in the last few weeks. This is partially because it’s old and partially because these things happen from time to time on the web as unskilled children decide to do it for fun. We are keeping the dragons from the door but it’s an increasing and uphill struggle to do so as they become more persistent.
As a result all registration on the old site has been disabled and will remain closed until the launch of this shiny new site.
Newsletters Section
The Newsletter Section has been reformatted to allow inline viewing of the PDF files without having to download them on to your machine for this you will need the latest version of Flash Player installed on your PC.

Front page News Ticker
A News Ticker on the Front page which allows all the content from the site which is publicly viewable to be accessed.
