Hello again, what can I say?
Whilst the snow has been falling and it has hit -10 here at BRC.co.uk Towers we have been feverishly toying with that arcane that is web page coding. Some might well argue that if BRC.co.uk Staff were in fact transported back in time to the Second World War we would have all been employed in cracking the Enigma code itself (probably making the tea, sweeping the floor and telling people to keep Mum!!)
Just like time websites are liner and ever moving forward.
After the ubiquitous and some what forced launch, things have been very good we have had a veritable rate of sign ups and visitors. In January alone we have had over 3340 unique visits (which can be confirmed as being different people) and over the last year (2005) a grand total of 91727 unique visitors. Making the site the still one of the highest visited sites and ranking with in www.alexia.com top 100,000 sites on the internet. Indeed, we have consistently out performed other well know drivers club sites which have yet to appear in the top 100,000 sites at all!! Recent estimates from Microsoft claim there are over 100 billion websites on the internet with a new site being created every second, so to appear within the top 100,000 is no mean feat. Indeed were you to type into Google “Bentley Racing Club” then you would see that the site ranks higher than the British Racing Drivers Club site and well above the Bentley Drivers Club site. The only thing which out ranks us in fact is a site which Google has cached but doesn’t exist any more!!

Improvements
So what do we have in store to keep this high web profile and to make this the best racing club site on the internet this year?
Well we have some planned work which will be sorting out one or two pesky gremlins which some users have been complaining about. We are planning to introduce some more user faculties. With the advent of 3G internet on your mobile we are also planning a version of the site which will be viewable via this medium.
These tasks take time to implement and will be rolled out through out the year. In the short term we will be upgrading the software used to publish the site and there may be small outages although it is likely that these will not affect users in the European time zone as they will hopefully be tucked up in bed when these things happen. So bear with us if the site is inaccessible for short periods, it will be back again soon.
We will shortly be reinstating the Pit’s section which will allow users and visitors to Download Wallpapers, Screen Savers and other Goodies.
We will be implementing a fully searchable Frequently Asked Questions Section in which we are hoping to cover all manner of things from technical advice to useful titbits of info.
There are also a number of other ideas which are being looked into to try and allow the users and of course the members’ greater access to things online.
