Hello and welcome to the new site.
Apologies that it's a little spartan, however we were not expecting to launch in such a rush.
Over the weekend I did a regular back up of the site and between then and now some scruffy little herbert attacked the site, defacing it and damaging it beyond repair. This is the cyber equivalent of scratching your name into the bonnet of someone's car, totally mindless and requires little knowledge on how to do it.
At no time was any information on the site in jeopardy nor was anything taken from the site by way of details. The attack had all the technical ability of a drunk, ice skating gazelle!! Except that as least has some grace and humour factor to it.
Sadly the old site has been consigned to the bin. It was our intent to retire it gracefully make the switch to this new site. However, this has been forced upon us, there seems little point in resurrecting the old site in order to remove it again in about a months time.
So without further ado, welcome to the new site.
We hope you enjoy it as much as the old one and rest assured we will endeavour to make it as great as the previous incarnations have been.
A few words on usage of the site.
Log on Difficulties
Due to previous problems with people's log on's to the old versions of the site the discussion was taken to stop issuing personalised log on's based on club membership. In order for people to log in to the new site you must register by clicking on the register button and fill in all of your details.
Please choose your username wisely as this will not be amended, afterwards; i.e. think if you really want to be called or addressed as "the fastest underpants in the west" or some such when people contact you!!
Passwords
In the past there has been difficulty with people forgetting their password. Well no more, you choose you own password at time of registration. Please note this does mean the administration team will not know or be able to help you remember your password. Please, therefore make it memorable.
Cookies
No not the biscuits from America, internet cookies. This site uses passive cookies to store little bits of information about you, mainly your user name and password so the site can 'remember' you and log you back in when you return. If you delete your cookies then you will have to log back into the site each time you visit.
